Finally, it's 2023!!!

I am so glad it is 2023, last year was quite tough for our family and didn't end the best either.

I was scheduled to have keyhole surgery at the beginning of December. With that in mind, I made sure I did a couple of craft fairs to get my products seen, to get extra sales as I knew I'd have to take time off, and I did have a few orders left to complete. These Mrs Claus shoes were an order for December for a little girl's play. I have to say, I rather love them.

These were the last shoes I made in December because my keyhole surgery ended up being major surgery. I was hospitalised until the next evening. I was in agony for a while and had to inject myself daily which was just horrific!

By the time it was Christmas, I was able to cook and do more around the house but no heavy lifting...

Not being able to bring an income in was hard for me though. Especially over Christmas. But with all the Royal Mail strikes as well, I don't think it would have been wise to push myself re-opening up and worrying about orders arriving! Once Christmas was over with and I felt better in myself, I soon got back to it though. I'd even been absent on social media which didn't help.

Hopefully 2022 will not repeat itself for us this year and we can enjoy a better time. I have so many ideas for shoes this year as well. Kids shoes as well as ladies, flats and converse type of shoes as well as more heels. More colour variations of my best seller "Queen".

Lots in the pipeline to enjoy!
